I spent most of the late morning and early afternoon filming the aftermath of the attacks from the promenade along the Belt Parkway in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. This video includes the live radio coverage from the two major all-news AM stations in New York, 1010 WINS and WCBS 880. I held my radio near the camera so that the reports were recorded live on the video. You will also hear my voice relaying to my wife via mobile phone that I believed 7WTC had just collapsed. I was out with my friend 'Richspoiltguy' and as i was lying down on this rooftop terrace at our humble Esplanade, I used my camera phone to shoot down this scene of my friend text messaging another person. I find that it gives a very mellow and subdued sad tone. So I came up with a storyline to fit this setting. So here it is. A very simple film about a boy who got dumped by his boyfriend, who found that he would rather lead a heterosexual lifestyle. The voiceover (done by yours truly) shows what is going on in our protagonist's head. The text apprearing on the screen is what our protagonist types on his mobile phone. I hope you enjoy it. In 11.02.2006 (this Saturday) the diva of Turkish rock Sebnem Ferah was performing in Bostanci Gosteri Merkezi which is an important concert area in Istanbul Turkiye. She was singing her own songs, especailly from her last studio album: "Can Kiriklari". She also performed a cover after saying "I didn't do covers for a long time in Istanbul. Tonight I want to sing 'Gates of Bablyon' from Rainbow. Sometimes I make covers in my concerts, because I want you to learn where we come from. These groups and singers are our inspiration sources, teachers, reasons we begin to music and idols". Hearing Ronnie James Dio's lyrics from Sebnem Ferah's voice and Ritchie Blackmore's guitar solos from Metin Turkcan's guitar (he was a member of Pentagram which is a group known as MezarKabul in Europe) were preferential for Sebo fans. This historical moment was recorded by my mobile phone, however the recorder wasn't me. My friend Tolga recorded this with my mobile phone.
