My first experimental film. I was out with my friend 'Richspoiltguy' and as i was lying down on this rooftop terrace at our humble Esplanade, I used my camera phone to shoot down this scene of my friend text messaging another person. I find that it gives a very mellow and subdued sad tone. So I came up with a storyline to fit this setting. So here it is. A very simple film about a boy who got dumped by his boyfriend, who found that he would rather lead a heterosexual lifestyle. The voiceover (done by yours truly) shows what is going on in our protagonist's head. The text apprearing on the screen is what our protagonist types on his mobile phone. I hope you enjoy it. My first experimental film. In 11.02.2006 (this Saturday) the diva of Turkish rock Sebnem Ferah was performing in Bostanci Gosteri Merkezi which is an important concert area in Istanbul Turkiye. She was singing her own songs, especailly from her last studio album: "Can Kiriklari". She also performed a cover after saying "I didn't do covers for a long time in Istanbul. Tonight I want to sing 'Gates of Bablyon' from Rainbow. Sometimes I make covers in my concerts, because I want you to learn where we come from. These groups and singers are our inspiration sources, teachers, reasons we begin to music and idols". Hearing Ronnie James Dio's lyrics from Sebnem Ferah's voice and Ritchie Blackmore's guitar solos from Metin Turkcan's guitar (he was a member of Pentagram which is a group known as MezarKabul in Europe) were preferential for Sebo fans. This historical moment was recorded by my mobile phone, however the recorder wasn't me. My friend Tolga recorded this with my mobile phone. He was at back and I think he doesn't know how to zoom with Sony Ericsson k700i. That's why the video's quality is bad. You don't have to watch. As part of the "Turn It On Tour" 2007 (sorry, "Turn It On SELECTION OF SHOWS!") Genesis hit my local city of Manchester (England, United Kingdom UK, Great Britain) yesterday. I support Manchester United so it made it extra special for me to see my favourite band play at my favourite football team's stadium. I did not film the whole show as I wanted a bit of a dance and a sing. Plus my arm started to ache after about 10 minutes of holding the camera in the air and it also was a bit annoying to keep checking that I had a good image because I wanted to watch the show! It is not excellent quality as it was only filmed on my mobile phone (Sony K800i). This is the start with a medley from the Duke album from 1980. "Behind the Lines" followed by "Duke's Ending" followed by "Turn it On Again". Some people like the medleys, some don't. I love them! (..less)
