As I could tell in an audio podcast a few days ago, Belkin made it's European Press Presentation in Amsterdam on 22nd of August. What I told in this podcast is that I've been able to test the use of the new Wireless WiFi Belkin Skype Phone with my Mobile Phone which is equipped with WiFi and Windows Mobile. My mobile phone which works on GSM network is a quadriband Qtek 9100. As we were experiencing the new Belkin draft N router called N1, I wanted to see whether my personal mobile phone would be able to connect to the network and having connections to Internet or whatever. My Qtek was already configured with skype that I use at each time I have a WiFi connection. It could work with a GPRS connection but I pay the amount of data for this type of use In fact, seing the new Belkin skype phone at the same time was also a good occasion to test it as a mobile phone equipment of the home with another device which is a real mobile phone in the terms that it works normally on GSM network even when it is connected with WiFi. It's a Motorola Mpx200 playing a 2-pass DivX in 220*164 resolution at ~200 Kbps for video and 64 Kbps mono audio. Can play stereo too when listening with headphones. It's played 256 Kbps stereo mp3 files with no problems. Player used: TCPMP 0.72 RC1. Operating System: Windows Mobile 2003 for Smartphones. It can play a 3 hour movie on battery or 6 hours of mp3. Can handle 1 GB SD/MMC memory. The quality is good althought you can't really tell by that video, you can even read subtitles without problems, and that's saying a lot for a cell phone. (..less)

Sound quality ain't good coz of the audio mic and my touch-senseless upright piano which I rent.. negligible difference between loud and soft ffs~ Also I would like to admit that it's a bit rushed in the beginning becoz i was trying to make the first movement fit within 10 minutes.. as my previous recording i attempted was way past 10 min. I first wanted to participate in September's ten-min-mix competition, but I noticed some things weren't right: First: the audio skips sometimes. I don't know how this is possible, but it does skip. Just bad luck for me. Second: I thought my mobile phone had better video quality than my webcam, so I recorded my mix with it. But I forgot I didn't have much space on the internal memory left, so it stopped around 7 minutes ... Third (almost forgot): The video isn't really synced the best with the music. So please don't complain about it ;) I combined my timecode setup with normal vinyl. Only the right deck uses timecode vinyl.
