Allen Iverson finally shook his shadow and shook up the NBA Finals. Hounded by unheralded Tyronn Lue, Iverson scored seven of his 48 points in a one-minute span of overtime as the Philadelphia 76ers stunned the Los Angeles Lakers with a 107-101 victory in the opener of the NBA Finals. Iverson scored 30 points in a scintillating first half, letting everyone know that the 76ers were going to be more than another pushover for the powerful Lakers. His late flurry silenced the Staples Center and unceremoniously ended Los Angeles' run at a perfect postseason. "Anybody that bet on it, some broke people out there," Iverson said. "I'm glad nobody didn't bet their life on it 'cause they definitely would be dead right now." Instead, the Sixers -- double-digit underdogs -- are very much alive as they again displayed their heroic heart. "Our guys just try hard," Sixers coach Larry Brown said. My first experimental film. I was out with my friend 'Richspoiltguy' and as i was lying down on this rooftop terrace at our humble Esplanade, I used my camera phone to shoot down this scene of my friend text messaging another person. I find that it gives a very mellow and subdued sad tone. So I came up with a storyline to fit this setting. So here it is. A very simple film about a boy who got dumped by his boyfriend, who found that he would rather lead a heterosexual lifestyle. The voiceover (done by yours truly) shows what is going on in our protagonist's head. The text apprearing on the screen is what our protagonist types on his mobile phone. I hope you enjoy it. What do you think? A bit of everything and I did a quick edit. All done on the Nokia N95 phone, last week in Cannes. Starts out with some very DODGY acting (don't take too much notice please) then goes right into my look at the room and then a nice one long take crossing the croisette from the beach into and through the hotel. I chose some music to go with it too, hope you like it! Well, that's it, all done on the mobile phone...pretty cool really, the phone shoots 30 frames a second and lets you edit with sound, merging, all kinds of stuff! Anyone like the idea of trying to do a whole movie on a mobile phone, get in touch...I think it can be done. (..less)

Posted here is a short film I shot whilst working on the FilmON project in Uzbekistan. It's a little documentary that was shot on my mobile phone camera about my time over there. The film is a bit disjointed and this was due to me nearly causing an international incident. Basically I was shooting some footage from my car when we went past an [unidentified] embassy whose security detail quickly chased me back to the hotel. I had to delete 30% of the footage which included a lot of good stuff. Working in Uzbekistan was one of the best experiences I've ever had. It was terrific working with some truly talented local filmmakers (one of them had already made a gangster feature and broadcast on Russian television) and having excellent support from the British Council Uzbekistan office team.
