Posted here is a short film I shot whilst working on the FilmON project in Uzbekistan. It's a little documentary that was shot on my mobile phone camera about my time over there. The film is a bit disjointed and this was due to me nearly causing an international incident. Basically I was shooting some footage from my car when we went past an [unidentified] embassy whose security detail quickly chased me back to the hotel. I had to delete 30% of the footage which included a lot of good stuff. Working in Uzbekistan was one of the best experiences I've ever had. It was terrific working with some truly talented local filmmakers (one of them had already made a gangster feature and broadcast on Russian television) and having excellent support from the British Council Uzbekistan office team. My Spanish father is visiting the Netherlands for 2 weeks, and you can look at the fun Saturday, with complete randomness we had. I know, it is agony without my camcorder still, but something is better than nothing, and I trusted my mobile phone to record the castle tour and many bizarre family moments. If you're a fan of scenic roads and Spanish sing-along-songs, you should take the blockiness like a tough hombre, and watch! The dialogues are awesome!
