Leaders finish lap one but other cars get stuck at 4th turn. The most fantastic pile up in racing history takes 37 cars out of the race. Only 7 out of 37 drivers suffered minor cuts and bruises. Most amazing of all - no fire! Rule bars, seat belts, helmets and lady luck saved lives this afternoon. Little bit of history on this one: In 1960 Daytona Superspeedway hosted the second Daytona 500. 68 cars entered into the race, back then there were a maximum of 68 cars in a superspeedway race. Coming out of turn four 37 cars get into a massive wreck where at least six cars get on their roofs. A montage I made for my daughter's 3rd birthday, last September. She's the most beautiful thing in the world and the most amazing thing I ever created. I made this for her and my family but I thought I'd like to share with anyone out there, who happens upon this clip, how much I love Isabelle and how cute she is. Also, with Mother's Day, I thought it would be nice for her mum as well. Yes, I know... Quite how an ugly bugger like me managed to make her I'll never know! She gets her looks from her mum, I think! And she bears a remarkable resemblance to our milkman at the time... :) Sorry for the poor video quality of the little clip in the middle, it was taken on my mobile phone at the time and is low resolution. But it was a rather magical moment and the movie wouldn't be the same without it. Also featuring her mum, grandma, great grandma and me. The soundtrack is John Lennon's "Imagine" and Keane's "Hamburg Song". This is actual footage of my house under attack by a teenage gang back in 2001. I have cut out about a minutes worth where I had called the police on my mobile phone and gave them my details. It all started when I caught 3 of them in the act of vandalising the lights at the front of my house which resulted in me having an altercation with one of them. They left and came back with a gang of about 10. I was waiting for them with my Handycam camera and video taped the whole incident. The good news is after the police came and watched the video, the police arrested 3 of them after a short search in the area. (..less)
